Lanie Lane is in the USA starting Oct 14th

Well, she's already invaded the USA but her album To The Horses will be available on itunes Oct 14th.  Lanie Lane is straight out of the 50s with her vocals, "Betty" 1957 arch top guitar and pinup style.  She has already created a buzz and has gotten the attention of Jack White and recorded a couple songs "Ain't Hungry" and "My Man" on 7" vinyl at his Third Man Records.

The joy of music is sometimes just discovering new artists and seeing their rise to public attention.  Lanie was just here in the states from Australia and played a few shows as a pre-release of her album,but I know she will be back as she is an exciting mix of a bygone era and cool music.

Here are a couple videos.  The first is a recording at home in Australia of a soft, sweet song.  Anyone that can sing and play a beautiful song like this without any production or studio is someone we need to hear.  This first one is my favorite.  The second video is a produced version of the "Ain't Hungry song that was recorded in Nashville at Jack White's Third Man Records.
