In 1982, Neil Young released a film that he co-directed, co-wrote, and starred in. Human Highway is a weird one, to say the least—an apocalyptic comedy that also features Devo, Dennis Hopper, Russ Tamblyn, Dean Stockwell, Sally Kirkland, and others. The film, which includes several songs from his synth-centric album Trans, got premiered at the Mill Valley Film Festival in 1982 before getting released on VHS and LaserDisc in the '90s.
