Foo Fighters' Sonic Highways Wins Two Emmy Awards

The Foo Fighters’ HBO series Sonic Highways took home two Emmy Awards at the 67th Emmy Awards over the weekend.

The band won for Outstanding Sound Editing for Nonfiction Programming as well as Outstanding Sound Mixing for Nonfiction Programming.  The popular HBO series chronicled the making of the band’s latest album while profiling the musical histories of cities they recorded in: Chicago, New York, Seattle, Austin, Washington DC and more.

While this marks their first Emmy victory, the Foo Fighters have been awarded 11 Grammy Awards over the course of their career as a band.
