New Music Tuesdays...The Black Keys El Camino

I'm pretty sure my Great Uncle won an El Camino in a poker game.  As I remember one day he had it and the next it was gone.  I think I got one ride in it.
He was a wheeler dealer in Atlanta and as I remember always had interesting things going on around him.  Sometimes it was classic cars, liquor stores, condos and houses or front row tickets to Bon Jovi.

Anyway my flashback is over....El Camino by The Black Keys is coming out of the oven today.

I'm very excited about the new album El Camino.  Listen to 5 songs from the album here.

Did you get to see The Black Keys release for Record Store Day Black Friday?  It was a 12" single of Lonely Boy,but the cool thing was the vinyl played totally opposite than normal.  The needle ran from the run out in the center of the record back to the edge.

Or did you see them on Saturday Night Live?  If not here you go...

Many of you loyal Black Keys fans already know a new album  El Camino is coming out on December 6th,but did you know that on Record Store Day November 25th they will release "Lonely Boy" and "Run Right Back" on vinyl?

So far these two songs sound great so lets hope that the rest of the songs on the album are as good as that 70s dream car~truck combination.

Take a listen to the two released songs and what you could be the proud new owner of if you rise and shine early on Record Store Day Nov 25th.

Listen right here..."Lonely Boy"

The Black Keys: New album later this year

I will interject that my favorite album of theirs is Chulahoma from 2006 which is a tribute album of cover versions of Junior Kimbrough songs.  The first track starts out with swagger and by the time "Have Mercy on Me" starts playing it sounds like they know something and they may or may not tell you,but in the meantime you better watch your back.  Great slow blues grooves....even Junior's wife said Junior would have approved.  Listen hear "Junior's Widow".
